Like Johnson’s The Right of the British Legislature to Tax the American Colonies Vindicated displayed here, the present work represents the strong Loyalist perspective, challenging the colonists' claims to natural rights against parliamentary supremacy and emphasizing the responsibilities of subjects within the empire.
