1777 Plan of Philadelphia
This hand-colored map shows Philadelphia at the time of the American Revolution. Maps of the region were in great demand at the time and were reprinted frequently. The elevation of the state house is featured prominently at the bottom of the plate, and county seats and early roads are situated.
