While SABR boasts over 6,000 members worldwide, baseball research is open to anyone with an interest in the sport. Regardless of your field of study, there is likely some connection to the sport of baseball. This handbook provides a brief overview of the numerous different libraries, primary and secondary sources of information, and writing tips that can help in conducting baseball research. While much of the information in this book is not unique to baseball research, Tomlinson does identify sport specific resources like the National Baseball Library at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, the Library of Congress, and numerous reference sources.
