I, Robot
Asimov was a professor of biochemistry at Boston University who introduced the world to his three laws of robotics through his novel I, Robot (displayed here). Known for both fiction and scientific publications, Asimov won the 1966 Hugo Award for his Foundation series.
I, Robot originally consisted of several short stories published in the 1940s in the serials Astounding Science Fiction and Super Science Stories. They were assembled into the present novel in 1950 and published by Gnome Press, presenting a fictional account of the history of robotics and a study of the interaction between humans and robots as told by a reporter interviewing a scientist.
