Ray Bradbury

Widely considered one of the greatest science fiction authors of the 20th century, Ray Bradbury began his career publishing his artwork and writing for fanzines. A few years after moving to Los Angeles at the age of 14, Bradbury joined the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (LASFS) after being invited by T. Bruce Yerke. This zine, edited by Yerke, features a front cover “Drawn by Bradbury” and features a short story by Bradbury titled “Genie Trouble!” Approximately one year after this issue was published, Bradbury had his first work professionally published.
