BeABohema. Issues 10, 11, 12
BeABohema. Nos.10, 11, 12. (1970) Quakertown (Pa.)
These three issues of BeABohema were published by Frank Lunney while he was a lowerclassman at Lehigh. They are examples of a fanzine publisher's compromises, personal dedication, sacrifice, and determination while an undergraduate student engaged in writing, editing, publishing, and distributing his fanzines. Also note Lunney’s campus mailing addresses and his observations about campus life in the early 1970s, especially through “Lehigh-Lafayette Rivalry”.
BeABohema, No 10.
“I’ll be shunted away to college [Lehigh] so send everything to … McClintic-Marshall House Room A216”
“Bellowings”: Hugo nomination surprised and pleased young Frank Lunney as an undergraduate at Lehigh University.
BeABohema, No 11.
“After September 8, my address will be P.O. Box 551, Lehigh University… This is the special Back to School issue…”
“Bellowings: Hymn to an older generation”
BeABohema, No 12.
“Lehigh isn’t such a bad place - It does have one of the most beautiful campuses in the country”, One of the most honest observations about campus life by a young fanzine publisher who was living on campus as an upperclassman.
