In the Cactus

This humorous poem on British author Aldous Huxley’s experimentation with mescaline appeared in Canadian fan publisher Boyd Raeburn’s (1927-2001) À Bas. Huxley was a favorite among fan writers and editors and his forays into the world of psychedelic drugs attracted comment in contemporary zines. This poem appeared in À Bas in 1954.
