Walden
Walden is both a seminal work of American transcendentalism and Henry David Thoreau’s literary masterpiece. Thoreau lived for just over two years in a cabin that he built for himself on the banks of Walden Pond, which is in Concord, Massachusetts. In Walden, Thoreau describes the natural beauty of Walden Pond and his efforts to live simply and deliberately (his words.)
