Instructions for Enginemen Governing the Care, Maintenance, and Economical Operation of the Locomotive

Originally published in 1921 as an informational guide for employees whose duty required familiarity with the care and operation of locomotives.  The 1929 manual has a seven page pullout diagram of a complete locomotive and other schematics of interest to serious railroad collections.  The Santa Fe Railway Company was established in 1859 and today is incorporated into the BNSF Railway.
