-The Gantt Chart
In the second edition, this textbook explains applications of the Gantt Chart within the parameters of industrial efficiency and factory methods. Named for mechanical engineer Henry Laurence Gantt (1861-1919), a Gantt chart uses bar graphs to represent and manage a project’s schedule and status. Gantt charts are useful in project management to compare work planned with work done.
