Linen period, 1930-1945

Embossing high quality card stock with linen finish texture allowed the ink and dyes on the cards’ surface to dry quicker and the result was more colorful and brighter images. Some linen period cards still used white borders, but their paper and images were much higher quality than their predecessors.
