D.C.M. took more than thirty photographs of Lehigh University. His camera captured some of the campus’s oldest structures, such as Packer Hall (now the Clayton University Center), and he also snapped images of brand-new buildings such as Williams Hall and Drown Hall (outside and inside). The only living space on “the Hill” at this time was Taylor House, which he photographed—along with rural scenes higher up on South Mountain. D.C.M. numbered many of his Lehigh photographs into a series (1-27), but other images of Lehigh have numbers that are unrelated to these (97, 119).
