1923 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Program
In the early 1920s, ASCE focused on transportation issues and selected Bethlehem for their 1923 annual meeting. At this event, members could see and inspect Hill-to-Hill Bridge, hailed as an “engineering marvel,” in a nearly completed state.
