Interior of a Wood or Bottle Small Glass Making Manufacture (Wood Glass Making Plate I)

The first in a 22 plate series, this image captures a fully functional glass factory. At the center of the factory is a glass furnace, with workers variously blowing and shaping glass, maintaining the fire, and cleaning the tools. While each individual task is described in greater detail in subsequent plates, this basic overview shows how each of the separate tasks would combine to form what was a modern glass factory.
