A companion to Breton’s 1665 work Dictionaire caraibe-françois, this dictionary is designed to aid a French speaker in communicating with native Carib speakers. Where Breton’s Carib-to-French dictionary attempted to classify the language based on cultural themes, this work more closely resembles a travel phrase book.
